The director-general of State Food and Drug Administration, Zheng Xiaoyu and the director-general of General Administration of Customs, Mou Xinsheng subscribed the new "Drug Import Administration Provisions" jointly on Aug 18, 2003.

The new "Drug Import Administration Provisions" has five chapters and forty five articles, includes Import Records, Customs Inspection, Supervision and Administration, etc. It will become effective on Jan 1, 2004 and at the same time, the old "Drug Import Administration Provisions" will be abolished.
