SUMMARY: This transitional provisions for goods' original producing area was stipulated to ensure the favorable implementation of the Sino-Thai agreement on agricultural products which was signed on Jun. 18, this year and promised mutual exemption of tariffs on imported fruits and vegetables beginning Oct. 1, 2003 in advance of the date established by the agenda for the exemption of tariffs under the framework agreement of the Sino-ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) free trade zone.
