The Ministry of Health promulgated a monitoring report on cosmetics induced dermatologic disease on Feb. 10. The monitoring program was conducted in five prestigious hospitals through out year 2003, under the guidelines of 7 items of national standards including the Diagnostic Standards and Handling Principles for Cosmetics Induced Dermatologic Diseases. Etiopathogenisis based on the monitoring was analyzed and hygiene requirements were formulated to guide cosmetic manufacture, distribution and cosmetology practice, boosting safe usage of cosmetic products.
