Recently, the State Food and Drug Administration issued a notification on further intensifying the administration on ketamine (Directive No. GuoShiYaoJianAn[2004]325). According to the notification, ketamine and probably existing preparations thereof have been sorted into Class ⅠPsychopharmaceutical. As a result, only designated enterprises are permitted to produce ketamine products. The distribution of ketamine products should be in line with that of narcotic drugs. (2004-07-14)
